Would you mind removing the "solved" badge on the
Kentucky e-file showing "Not Eligible for Electronic Filing" Notification Page.
It is obviously not solved.
I went over to H&R Block to e-file and they got into tax details that this website did not. So I am getting back MORE money than I did on this site. Not sure if that would be true for everyone but I am going with who helps me get the biggest refund. I have used Turbo Tax for years without ever there ever being a problem. My fiance is a programmer and I am telling you, he said it should NOT be taking this long to fix a bug. It's been since Friday for me and over a week for some that I have seen on this board. With this being a major tax company and not some no-name, they should have programmers at any given moment to fix this issue.
Any update on when this could be fixed?
I received this email today from TurboTax regarding this issue.
Dear TurboTax customer,
Thank you for being patient while we investigate your issue.
We’re still working on a solution and we’ll send you an email once a fix is in place.
Thank you for being a TurboTax customer.
Sincerely,
TurboTax
I had this problem as well. Any prospects on when it will be resolved?
I also received the same error about state e-filing. I switched to turbo since they seemed to be better than H&R! I was wrong. My guess is they will hold off fixing this glitch until after Feb. 15 when they can charge instead of letting you file free. Back to H&R Block. I guess they were better.
I'm also getting the same error. Five days is ample time for a company as large as Intuit to solve the problem. I suppose they haven't received enough complaints to worry about it. I will be using a different product in the future.
This issue is marked as solved however I am still having the exact same issue. I have checked for updates and the software shows no updates are available.
I had exactly the same problem. Had no problem e-filing my state return for any years past
TT's worked great for me for years so I'm willing to be patient, but if this isn't resolved I'll definitely expect a refund for the state tax portion of filing.
Well, everyone...I bid you goodbye. I have filed with H&R Block which also ended up giving me a higher return. I need to get these filed and I do not have time for this TT nonsense. I hope for those who decide to wait it out, I hope it is resolved for you all soon. Have a great 2022 everyone!
Don't bother with customer support - they suck!!! There is a work around to this Turbotax error....
GO to the Fed Return and dependent care section under deduction....create a dependent care expense for $1 - pick a child to assign it to and then enter the name and SS# for someone you know who will let you use their info as the dependent care provider(or possibly make it up if the software accepts it..it doesn't matter as you will see). When you get to the question of whether these are 2020 expenses paid in 2021 select YES so the $1 will not transfer to your return. This should fix the error in the KY return and also eliminate the Dependent Care for $1 on form 8812. Just verify the $1 does not appear on your tax return under dependent care expenses before you e-file. This worked for me and happy not to wait on these dummies at Intuit trying to sell me CreditKarma throughout the whole process.
Same issue for me. Frustrating.
