Im usaf serving overseas. I'm a California resident and I'm getting zero on my state return. I don't know how to fix it.

Was CA tax withheld from your military pay, and have you completed the CA tax interview in TurboTax?Try this and see if it clears up your problem:

When you complete the Personal Interview:

1. Select California as your state of residence on December 31, 2016;
2. Answer "No" when asked if you "Lived in another state in 2016?" That question only applies if you changed your state of residence in 2016.
3. Answer "No" when asked if you "Earned money in another state?", unless you had non-military income from a state other than CA.
