Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

Why does the "refund processing agreement" have a different total for me to pay than what I agreed to maybe four pages ago in the "chose what you want" section.(max beni)

I selected max benefits totaling around 121 for max, state and federal.
now in the final pages it is saying that the total that i will pay is around 162.
where did the extra 41 dollars come from?

If you chose the option to pay the TurboTax fees out of the Federal refund, there is an additional 39.99 service fee (44.99 for California filers, where it is bundled with Premium Services.")

You can remove that option prior to filing and avoid that service fee, then you can pay the TurboTax fees upfront with credit/debit card or a prepaid debit card you can purchase in a store for a few bucks.

Here's how to remove it and pay upfront, depending on your location:

Filers in states except California:

California filers (where that refund processing option is part of "Premium Services.")
