I may have e-filed PA state return by mistake. I am using a downloaded Turbo Tax Deluxe. How do I verify if the return was filed or can I mail it in?

If you are using the online version, when you log in your state taxes will show as accepted or pending if you filed it.  Also, if you go to the file tab in both the online and desktop version, it will not give you the option to file if you go through all the steps again if you already filed your return. It will tell you it has already been filed and only give you the option to print or amend.

You can also contact the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue to verify that they have received your return if you are still questioning whether or not you e-filed it.  Your return would have to have been accepted in order for them to be able to tell you they have it.  It can't just be in pending stages.
