Yes...as a resident of KY, you must file a KY tax reporting all of your income, even from TN

KY would allow a credit if your paid a tax on that to TN...but since TN doesn't tax wages, then KY gets to tax it all.

This is not unusual...all income taxing states operate the same way

...............(with some few exceptions for reciprocal-tax states)

BUT....What do you mean by you live and work in TN???

Only in TN temporarily?
In Military? ...in college but parents in KY?

Otherwise  its difficult to be both.....cannot be KY resident and also Live/Work in TN..

I have lived and worked in TN all year but have yet to change my residency.

...ahhh  procrastination...the fact that you avoided getting a new Driver's Lisic, and re-plating your car, registering to vote..etc...its immaterial. Get On it

Thus.....You are a TN resident at the end of 2017.

1)  ..IF you moved to TN early during 2017, you need to indicate that in the Personal Info section where you edit you name, and file a part-year KY tax return reporting any income you made before moving.

2) If you actually moved in 2016...then you are a full year 2017 TN resident and only need to worry about the Hall Tax for dividends and interest. and you wouldn't need a KY tax return.  (But should have file a part-year KY tax return for 2016, though I'm sure they don't mind you paying KY taxes for the full year of 2016)
