I have to file multiple state returns. They each ask me about a 529 contribution - do you only enter this information in your primary state of residence or all of them?
You only enter the contribution in the state for whose plan you made the contribution. In other words, you only claim the contribution once. For example, if you made the contribution to the Oklahoma plan, you only enter it in OK.
