If you are a DACA program participant, and you live in California, then will be treated as a state resident for California income tax purposes.  Please see California Franchise Tax Board Publication 1031 for further details (and especially Page 3, which gives the criteria for California residency).  Here is a courtesy link to that document:

For federal income tax purposes, DACA participants are considered by the IRS as resident aliens (who still file and pay taxes just like US citizens, as do all those who have resident alien status).  For additional discussion on this subject, please refer to the following AnswerXchange post:
