I followed the prompts for part-time detroit city resident for 2022 in Michigan state taxes and nothing printed or is included in my pdf tax forms. What do I do now?

Lived from Jan 1st through may 5th 2022 in detroit. Filled all this in during Michigan state returns and nothing was included in my pdf printout to indicate detroit tax return was filed.

If you already efiled your return, you can reopen your return to finish and print Detroit tax return.

To re-open your return after you've e-filed it:

1. Sign in TurboTax.
2. Select Tax Home in the left menu.
3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
4. Select 2022, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you back in).

Go over Michigan return, there will be a page where you are asked to click on your city (Detroit) so that TurboTax can generate your city income tax return.  

If you already e-filed federal and state return, print and mail in your Detroit tax return.

As part-year resident you need to file if:

  •  You owe tax, are due a refund, or your wages exceed your exemption allowance. 
  • Your wages are less than your personal exemption allowance and City income tax was withheld from your
     earnings, to claim a refund of the tax withheld.

I followed these instructions and it said I owed $16 for tax, the only way to file it was to amend and it said I’d have to print out detroit to file it. It still doesn’t show in my pdf forms at the end of state and no way to print out the forms.
