I am resident of NC but also own a home in California. Where do I enter the 1098 for CA?

Is the CA home a rental? Or just a 2nd home? If just a second home then the mortgage interest is deductible as an itemized deduction. Enter it normally in the federal return.

If it's a rental then it should be entered in the federal return for that rental activity.
