did you use the turbo tax online version?
Yes. I did. I just received a message. It has been accepted. Thank you for your help and response. Have a blessed week.
@Mommyof4girlz - I was using the Disc download version I bought at Costco. It was rejected 3 times. After the first one I changed the CA MCTR (I just had tax refund in there) under description but that was the only charge I made. I re submitted this morning with no changes and it was accepted.
@Kurgan13 oh okay because im doing the online deluxe version but im afraid to submit since it says wait until January 30. I dont know if the download version is any different from online.
It finally worked for me, online version not disc
@Banido127 did you do anything different?
I just resubmitted it after clicking fix it
Since it’s not going to be federal/state income anyway, what happens if you don’t even input this 1099?
I believe it doesn't effect state, but it does effect federal. I thought about deleting it as well but don't want to run the risk of an audit since it's an official form.
@Jetfan It may cause your tax return to be delayed. I would enter it myself. I think the issue has been fixed now
@Mommyof4girlz don’t be afraid of resubmitting, the worst that can happen is that they reject it again. At this point I think the issue has been fixed
I was afraid to submit it also considering all the rejections but mine got accepted for both federal and state. I entered CA MCTR in description of 1099-Misc.
Same here, I:
-deleted the 1099 misc
-logged out
-logged back in
-re-entered the 1099 misc + under description entered, “CA MCTR” with quotes
-clicked all reviews
& both returns have been accepted. Seems like whatever the issue was, it’s now fixed.
Thank goodness….
mine was also rejected...turbotax had a note that a fix would be made on Jan 30th. i resubmitted anyway. lets see if it gets rejected again.
Both my federal and state joint filing returns were finally accepted. I did what someone on here suggested and it worked. I deleted the 1099 MISC information on the federal and state returns. Saved them and then exited TurboTax. Then I went back in and opened up the return and re-entered the 1099 MISC information on the federal return, which updated the state return automatically. Then I resent them both and both were accepted.
