Form MI-1040CR-7, Home Heating Credit Claim availability

I did my taxes week ago, mi forms were unavailable for submission so printed mi forms on 19th, but few days ago got notice Form MI-1040CR-7, Home Heating Credit Claim ,but once I signed in, it say available soon n e-file starts 2/2/23. So, still can't print mi-1040cr-7, so since I completely the state, why can't I access form for printing? Because now form is done but says "DO NOT FILE".

You state that you completed the Michigan return.  Does that mean you also filed electronically without the MI-1040CR-7 due to it not being available at the time?  It is unclear as to that point.  If you did already file without the credit claim, you will have to wait for the results of your filed return (payment or refund) to finalize and then file an amended return when it is available to claim your Home Heating Credit.

If you have yet to file your Michigan return, please wait until February 2 to file your state return.

I completed Michigan return but was told not able to file until Form MI-1040CR-7 is available and that I will be notified. I was notified on 1/28/23 the subject form is ready. I checked for the updates in software and attempted to file but the same message is shown as before.  Has anyone experienced the same issue? Thanks for your time.

Try going back into TurboTax.

Form MI-1040CR-7, Home Heating Credit Claim is showing as available.

I tried to go back in as well as restart my PC, but unfortunately same issue.

Thanks @ErnieS0. Yes, try again, only until it is ready should it file with your completed form. It's currently saying the form is ready, but may haven't updated your software. Looks like your using our desktop version. If you are in desktop version:

• On a Mac Select TurboTax on the upper left hand corner of screen, then update 
• On windows, Select Help on upper middle screen then update

Sometimes although a form says it is ready, it may not have uploaded properly into your system depending on your unique situation or computer.

I am using Windows 11 on laptop. I did see updates installed and it went thru the process of updating turbo tax, but it is still not allowing me to file and displaying same error as indicated in screenshot I posted. Thank you.

Sometimes our Forms Availability information gets ahead of our actual applications.  I suggest waiting until 02/02/2023 to update again and try to file.  This was the original estimated availability date.  If you still can't file after that, please come back to this thread and we will do our best to help you out!

Thank you everyone again for your contribution in trying to assist. It appears updates were scheduled for release 2/1/23 as someone suggested already. Everything works perfect now after updates and I am able to file Michigan return. This was my first posting and I am pleasantly surprised with the entire community willing to help.
