Filed my federal return electronically but haven't filed my state yet.
Needed to file amended federal return after finding a $500 donation left off Schedule A.
Turbo Tax is generating an amended state return using the amended Federal Return.
Since I haven't filed the State Return do I file the amended return?
If not, how do I get TurboTax to generate a non-amended state return?

Since you have not filed your State return yet, you don't amend it, the information will flow to your State from your Federal return.
You should delete the State return so the program does not produce an amended State return.
If you are using the Online version, you can delete your state return in TurboTax Online as long as you haven't paid or registered yet.
If you don't see the option to delete your state (you'll probably see Edit instead), you've already paid your TurboTax fees (including the state fee) or registered your free version while the state was on your return. If you've done either of these things, you can't delete your state return.
If you are using the Desktop version:
Here's how to clear (delete) a state return in the TurboTax for Windows CD/Download software:
If you want to start a new state return, select the Step-by-Step icon in the upper right corner, and then select the State Taxes tab.

I have the same issue except that I printed the state return for filing, but never sent it in. The option to "Remove State Return" (Desktop version) is grayed out. Any other ideas?
