Fed forms submitted to state when e-filing?

When e-filing a state return...

1) Will TT forward all the state-required federal forms along with state forms - I'm specifically wondering about federal forms schedule D and federal form 8949/4797 (sales and distribution of capital assets) ?

2) How can I tell what federal forms TT actually sent to the state?  

3) If the state "accepts" my return after e-filing, does that imply the state got all the forms they were looking for?

1) Yes, TurboTax is programmed to include the annual updates to each state return's filing instructions, including any required attachments from the federal return. If your circumstance requires federal forms be attached to the state, the software can take care of that for you. 

2) The PDF printed copy of the state tax return will include any federal attachments behind the last page of the state return, or in the specific order described in the state filing instructions. 

3) To verify your state return document includes any necessary federal forms before you file (after paying):

1. Open or continue your return.
2. Enter your return by selecting Continue or Start on Tax Home.
3. Select Tax Tools from the menu, then Print Center (on mobile devices, tap in the upper left corner to expand the menu).
4. Select Print, save, or preview this year's return, and follow any additional instructions.
5. Once your PDF opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader, select the printer icon.
6. Make any adjustments in the Print window and then select Print.

Then once the state tax return is accepted, you'll have already reviewed your submission for completeness.

Unfortunately, when I look at the PDF for the state (WV)  return... it does not include several fed forms that I'm reasonably sure the state requires.  It only shows/includes the WV state forms.  That's what led me to ask my question here.

When you efile your West Virginia income tax return with TurboTax, it must follow the Modernized Electronic Filing Specifications for West Virginia.  From the MEF Handbook*: 

How Federal/State MeF Filing Works: West Virginia returns included in the Federal/State Electronic Filing (MeF) Program will be transmitt ed to the IRS Service Center along with the federal return. All individual West Virginia returns must include a complete copy of the federal return and include all PDF att achments, forms, and schedules.

*This is the 2024 version because the state does not allow the most recent version to be public for security.

It sounds like I shouldn't worry about this unless I hear from WV that there is a problem.
