extra charge to file state refund using turbotax deluxe...why?

why was i charged 24.95 to file my state return after paying for turbotax deluxe?

You get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is 19.99 to efile, usually goes up to 24.99 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.

thank you....where would i find this info re: e-filing our state tax return for free (if i print and then mail it in) or pay the 19.99 charge up until march and then 24.99?

you can also check the state's dept of revenue website.  many allow entering tax data directly and filing with no fees.

Box says Federal Returns & Federal E-File plus State Returns.  It does not say state efile is included.  It also says on the back of my CD case in the comparison chart....
