Experience with Connecticut (CT) tax payments online portal (seems odd)

I moved from NY to CT in Spring of 2023 and have to make estimated tax payments for Q4'23 income by the 1/15/24 deadline. I don't qualify for their myconneCT system but they do offer an alternative online here. Only issue is that site doesn't ask you to register and verify anything; it only ask for your name, SSN, address, and then it just asks for your bank account details. I can't register since I don't qualify as per above. 

When I've made estimated payments to the IRS and to NY, there is identity verification, license verification, email confirmation, there's authentication via phone, etc. None of that is on the CT portal - just name, address, social, and payment. 

I'm sure it's fine but can anyone verify they've used the alternative and it's legit?

Tax payments used to be that simple and CT does indeed take you to that page from their home webpage. I have not made a CT payment however. Good luck with all the move changes!
