Turbotax did not ask for scans before submitting my taxes.

No! While filing for your taxes you would need to file Form 5695. If you are having trouble accessing this form

• Log into your Turbo Tax Online account
• Go to My Tax Timeline
  
• Click Take me to my return
• Click the Search bar (located at the upper right hand corner)
• Type in Form 5695
• Click Jump to Form 5695

If you fill out this form properly, you should not need any receipts to prove the payment.
