I believe the answer is no. The Federal and CA 2022 extension payments are populated in the Federal Tax Payments Worksheet. Other multiple states 2022 extension payments are populated in each corresponding State Tax Payment Worksheet. I will call TurboTax to confirm.
I'm not sure what your question or problem is. Here is old notes on how it's suppose to work
Since you've made multiple state extension payments, you will need to enter the total amount of state extension payments you've made on the federal side. The program will enter this total on your federal return but you will need to go to each state return and enter the extension payment in the state interview for it to be accurately reported on your state return.
For Online versions:
Although tedious and buried in TurboTax online, you can enter in payments made with extensions for multiple states. You have to go into the interview for each state and get to the section regarding filing an extension. Once there, you will need to say you are going to file an extension and then it will eventually trigger a screen asking for the payment amount you will make with the extension. Once the amount is entered it will populate on the corresponding form and you should see the TurboTax refund meter adjust accordingly.
I was incorrect and thank you for confirming I needed to manually enter the multiple state extension payments in the Federal Tax Payments Worksheet ("Line 9, Amount paid with 2022 extensions:
State amounts, paid with extensions must be entered manually."). I also added a support statement reflecting each individual extension amount. The state ID I used is XX ("State ID: If you'll be using our state tax software and filing a non-resident or part-year resident state return, you MUST enter the state code for the state to which this payment was credited. If a payment amount includes amounts paid to more than one state, enter 'XX' as the state ID. This amount will be used in the Federal tax return, but may need to be reentered on the appropriate state return.").
I looked in my Desktop program and there is a selection for Multiple States. Doesn't the Online version have Multiple States in the state box?
