I currently work in RI (live with a friend locally), keep my Texas address for my investments. My company lists me as non resident in the W2. I know I have to file RI state income tax for my salary but how about my investments? How do I this in TT Deluxe?
Thank you!

If you are living and working in RI, on a permanent job (expected to last more than a year), with no intent to return to TX, then you are a RI resident and must pay tax on all your income.
I assume "My company lists me as non resident in the W2" means only that RI does not appear in box 15. Why did they do that. RI tax should have been withheld.
Thank you for your response. I am planning to go back to TX after a year.
"After a year" as opposed to within a year makes you a RI resident for tax purposes.
If last year I only work less than 180 days? Thanks!
