I am eligible for a DC tax credit for installing an alternative fuel charging station. I use TT software - and it is telling me that I cannot efile! Is this correct? Nothing on DC's website says that. And of course TT is refusing to allow me to request direct deposit on the refund. Is this correct?

I just got off the phone with DC's Office of Tax and Revenue and it says the problem with efiling is with Turbo Tax - i.e., it is fine (and indeed preferred) to efile even if claiming the credit. And Turbo Tax has prepared the DC form for claiming the credit so not sure why TT won't let me efile. Plus TT won't let me enter my bank information for direct deposit of the refund (it allowed it for my federal return but has Xed it out on the DC form).
Is there any chance Turbo Tax will update its DC forms in time for me to file my 2021 return?
We would like to assist you with this, however it would be best to do this by phone.
Please get the state e-file reject/code, and follow the instructions here to contact us by phone.
I spoke with someone yesterday who helped me get TT to allow direct deposit of my state overpayment. But she spent a lot of time having me go through the return while screen sharing so she could see all of the codes and spent time conferring with colleagues and the result was a determination that TT hasn't bothered to update the software yet to permit efiling with DC if claiming that alternative fuel station installation credit. Any chance you will update now?
I would call but not sure it's worth our time at this point.
