D2441 SUB Date Entries

On my Child and Dependent Care Credit for Part-Year Residents form for DC (D2441 SUB), there are two questions asking for date ranges on: Period Lived in our household and dates at Care Provider.  Both entries ask for dates to be entered in the format MMDDYYYY.  After entering in this format in the TurboTax boxes, the dates are reflected on the form without the year.  The format comes out as only MMDD.  The DC state submission is being rejected because of this error.

I have tried using different browsers, different operating systems (Mac vs Windows), I've started the whole state return over again and finally, I've spent multiple hours on the phone with the TurboTax helpdesk who was not able to solve my problem.

Please help.

D2441 SUB Date Entries

I imagine the year is not required on the federal return since it is assumed the year was during the tax year. It may be easier to simply mail the state return then wait for an update from TurboTax. Normally, when you mail a return in it only delays the receipt of your refund by a couple of weeks at most.

You can contact support at TurboTax and they can refund your e-file fee if you were unable to e-file due to a problem in the program.
