CT residents are supposed to report purchases from out-of-state for which CT sales tax were not collected & pay the Use Tax. You can provide a simple sum of all untaxed purchases of less than $300/item from throughout the year. However, items costing $300 or more are to be itemized. TurboTax Premier *does* include a page to list these purchases, however it appears to be listed under "Computer & Data Processing Services" at 1% instead of the normal sales tax rate of 6.35%?
Does anyone know how to report an issue like this to someone at TurboTax who is in a position to fix it?
Thank you

There is no Connecticut Use Tax error in TurboTax Premier. TurboTax has multiple screens to allow you to enter items costing more than $300 at different sales tax rates (1% for computer and data processing, 6.35% general, 2.99% for vessels and 7.75% for specific items).
If you purchased computer or data processing services of $300 or more say Yes on the screen Computer or Data Processing Services.
Otherwise say No and proceed to Purchases of Specific Items taxed at 7.75%. If you have these items say Yes; otherwise say No.
The next screen is for Vessel, Motor for Vessel or Trailer for Transporting Vessel (2.99%)
The last screen is for Purchases Subject to the General Use Tax Rate (6.35%).

Thank you very much. I'll swear I went back and forth a dozen times before posting my question and simply never saw the itemization option beyond the Computer Services one. <blush>
Thank you.
