I got a letter from the Franchise Tax Board saying that my Direct Deposit was disallowed for CODE: 15.
That meant they changed the refund amount. Great!
When the check arrived, it was for $45 MORE than Turbotax calculated.
Although I worked for the State of California for parts of 5 decades, I dislike having to rely on FTB to correct the apparent error.
Since the error was not found by a competing commercial product, there appears to be no recourse from Intuit.
I suppose that I could contend that the FTB's 10 acre facility is a commercial enterprise, as it generates millions of dollars.

TT stands by its calculations, but not changes due to user mistakes, so wait for the letter from the state. But you suffered no loss from this, right? Could you have made a data entry error?
Maybe I will get a further explanation from FTB; maybe not.
If I "made a data entry error," shouldn't TurboTax have caught it?
IF FTB corrected YOUR error, you contend that there was no loss.
IF a competitor's processing showed your error, you would take responsibility?
