I'm trying to figure out why on the Sch CA (540NR) form, Turbotax is putting basically my entire W2 income as "CA Source" income, when there is nothing even related to CA on the W2 form (I work remotely in TX and the Company address on W2 is Florida). The only reason I'm bothering to file there is because we own a rental property still, but this error just leads to TT calculating that I owe a ton of unpaid tax to CA, when in fact I'm pretty sure I've actually overpaid a bit in estimated taxes on the rental.

In the CA nonresident interview in TurboTax, there is a section that asks you about which income is CA income. If you just skipped through that section without entering zero at the right time, then all of your income was assigned to CA.
TurboTax can't tell from your W-2 which income belongs to what state; instead, you have to manually indicate it.
If you have trouble finding the right screen(s), come back and tell us.

OK, thanks. I think I just hadn't gotten through all the "adjustments" section to proceed to the part where it identifies which income was for CA.
