If you saved a copy of your return you can look at the first page titled "Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2019 Federal Tax Return" in the "Balance Due/Refund" section. You can also check line 21a on your form 1040.

I understated my loss carryover by $3000 in 2022. Can I simply correct it in a subsequent year or do I have to go back and do a corrected retrun for each year since then?
