Working on the form for dist. it doesn't give me a chance to break out my RMD

I had RMD's. The system doesn't allow me to show the amount on my IRA.

There is no special reporting on your tax return for an RMD.  An RMD is simply an amount that is not eligible for rollover, so when TurboTax asks how much of your distribution was RMD, TurboTax just prevents you from reporting a rollover of that portion of your distribution.

 

The only special reporting on your tax return regarding RMDs is to file Form 5329 Part IX if you fail to take all of your required distributions.  This is handled separately from any particular Form 1099-R that you have entered, done after you click the Continue button on the page that lists the Forms 1099-R that you have entered.
