With excess Social Security WH get a credit back, say 1000. also have box 12 M with no WH owe 5 of soc sec. on 1040, have +1000 of credits but -5 of extra tax. Turbotax

turbotax doesn't give credit for the extra 5 of soc sec tax being paid. Credit back should be 1005 and not 1000. This is from multiple W2s.

Please check both schedule 2 & 3. Schedule 2, part II Other Taxes, line 8c, shows UT $5. While Schedule 3, Part II, line 11 shows excess Social Security Tax.
