If no state tax was withheld, you can leave boxes 14, 15, and 16 blank.
The program wants all three entries if you fill in any of them. If you leave these three blank, it will not change your return and you will be able to e-file.
If both numbers on the 1099Rs are identical, TurboTax is regarding the second 1099-R as a duplicate. If both numbers are the same, you can change one number on the second 1099-R to be able to enter this in TurboTax. This will not cause any problem with reporting the 1099-R as the state abbreviation will be correct.
If Utah resident and 1099-R?
Make sure the final three letters are lower case..... wth.
Might need to delete the entire Utah state ID in the box 15 area, click in another box, and then come back to the State ID box to re-type it in. again...lower case.....wth
I was able to just enter the state Id with the WTH by not entering UT at the beginning of the Id. Thank you all for your help.
