Why do need to send a 1099-A when I only got a 1098-B from my retirement plan. While doing my tax review it says my return may be held up without it.

You may get Form 1099-A (Acquisition or Abandonment of Secured Property) if your lender foreclosed on your mortgage or repossessed property as a result of a defaulted loan.
If you did not receive this form, and do not need to report this information you can delete it. Here's how: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3288508
