Where do I list my retirement income?

 Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.

I did no t see any place to list my retirement  income.  All I seen was for w2 witch I do not receive

To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
• On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button

Or enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R

The retirement income or distributions are reported on form 1099R. Some retirements are fully taxable, partially, and/or non-taxable depending on the code located on line 7 of the form.  The most common is code 7 which is normal distribution and is taxable to the taxpayer based on the income tax bracket. You may follow the steps below to enter the income in Turbo Tax.

1. Login to Turbo Tax.
2. Select Tax Tools, then Tools.
3. Under Topic Search, type 1099-R, click go.
4. Click continue.
5. Choose Yes "Did you receive a 1099-R in 2020?".
6. Next screen has six choices to select, select your best choice.
7. Next screen "Let's import your tax" or click "Change how I enter my form".
8. Click yes, "Do you want to add your 1099-R?".
9. The next screen click I'll type it myself".
10. Who gave you the 1099-R, you have 4 choices, select the best.
11. Enter your 1099-R info provider
12. Enter your 1099-R information.
