There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's ---we need to know what kind you have in order to help you enter it in right place. Is it a 1099R, 1099INT, 1099DIV, 1099G, 1099Misc, 1099NEC, SSA1099 etc., etc. etc. ????
The 1099 received should say either on the front of it or on the backs of it's copies what kind of income it is reporting and then you can search the TurboTax database to see where it should be entered into your return.
For instance, a 1099-B is for the sale of capital assets.
Here are a few examples:
A 1099-R is for retirement income
A 1099-MISC is to report other income
A 1099-NEC reports nonemployee compensation, generally on Sch C.
