IF you are asked for a TIN...then you've started entering your SSA-1099 in the 1099-R area...and that is the wrong place for SSA income. get out of there...delete that 1099-R form.
Then, in the Retirement income section on the Wages&Income page, look for the SSA-1099 starting point just below the 1099-R entry item..
