What does the question "Did Teresa inherit the IRA from E*TRADE Securities?" mean? "Inheritance" doesn't imply anything to me about my brokerage facility.

TurboTax is asking if you inherit the IRA account from anyone (relative or similar) because they passed away. The tax treatment is different in such a case. If you established that IRA account yourself then answer "no".
