W2 non qualified plan pension income reported differently in 2022 versus 2021 on my 1040

Why is TT showing nonqualified pension income form box 11 on my w2 back on line 1 versus line 8?

I just added a W2 with box 11 and marked it as a distribution and it went to sch 1 line t as it should. I think you may have a piece of data stuck. Follow these steps:

Desktop version:

  1. Delete the form
  2. Save your return while closing the program.
  3. Update the program
  4. Open
  5. Enter the information again.

Online version:

A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

For stuck information follow these steps:

  1. Delete the form/ worksheet- if possible, see How to Delete
  2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
    • Don't use Internet Explorer.
    • Clear cache and cookies,
    • Sign in using a different browser.
    • Sign in using a different device.
  3. Log back into your return.
    • Enter the information again.

That worked for me.  Thanks for the reply

So here we are now submitting taxes for 2024 and the W2 amount is back on line 1 and 8t is 0.0. Nothing has changed with my W2s between 2023 and 2024 with same amounts in box 1 and box 11. Has IRS reverted back or is this a TurboTax bug (desktop)?

This was reported properly in my test return. You could delete your W-2 and re-enter it.  If you're using TurboTax Online, clear your Cache and Cookies after deleting, and before re-entering.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, your W-2 entry should show on the Forms W-2 Summary on Line 11, carrying over to the Other Income Statement on Line t, then to Schedule 1, Line 8t, and be included on Form 1040, Line 8

If this is not following the path correctly, try deleting the W-2, then a Manual Update, and re-enter.

Thanks. In my case it was ultimately found to be an input error on my part as detailed here:
