What kind of 1099? There are over a dozen kinds. 1099R, 1099NEC, 1099Misc etc.
The paper reads, "Document issued as a substitute statement for a 1099 information returns." It later notes that it is taxable income. It in a crop insurance claim labeled, "Total Indemnity Payments Reported." So far I have entered the amount just like the selling of a farm crop on form 4835. Turbo Tax seems happy with that. Thanks.
Yes, that is correct, crop insurance payments are reported as income on Form 4836 or Schedule F.
