Roth IRA early withdraw

I have a Roth IRA and I have been with the brokerage for 10 years so no penalty from them, this is a hardship withdrawl, but i don't think it would qualify for the few things the IRS has listed under "hardship".  How much would i be taxed? I am also under the age of 59

Roth IRA early withdraw

You would be taxed at your marginal tax rate on the income portion of the withdrawal plus a ten percent penalty tax on the same income portion of the withdrawal. When you take a distribution, you are considered to be withdrawing the principal first and later the earnings. So, if you didn't withdraw more than you contributed there would be no tax or penalty.
