Retirement Pension Income

When entering the pension income information, it asks if I started getting these payments in 2025, is it referring to the amount entered from the 1099R or from when I started receiving the payments years ago when I first retired?

If you started getting these payments many years ago,

you didn't start getting them in 2025.

The question is referring to when you started receiving the payments.  Since you indicated that you started receiving ‌payments prior to 2025, you would answer "NO."
