you can certainly prevent double taxation, but that doesn't mean not to report the pension on the US tax return.

@USCHCitzn that treaty just means that you can't be double taxed on the income. But to determine that you'd have to file a Swiss tax return and then file a US tax return and take the foreign tax credit to prove there is no double taxaction. the treaty doesn't absolve you from the reporting requirement.
I'll just have to amend my US return.
