"Recipient" of RMD sent to a Charity (QCD)

I had my IRA RMD sent to a charity as a QCD.  I indicated that appropriately while entering the information into TT [desktop version for PC].  After running the Federal review, the program wanted me to enter the "recipient" of the distribution (RMD) and offered the opportunity to check a box to "transfer recipient's information from Federal Information worksheet".  Doing so, resulted in my name and address being populated in the form.  Is that correct since I did not "receive" the distribution, but my charity did.  What is the correct entry and, if I may ask, the explanation for that information.  Thanks.

Yes, you are the recipient of the distribution.  It means that it's reportable on your tax return, not some other entity's tax return.  no explanation is required other than the "QCD" notation next to line 4b on Form 1040 that TurboTax applies (or automatically indicated on a separate statement when a combination of QCDs, HFDs and ROLLOVERs are being reported).
