Normally you see that when a form is not yet ready to be filed. Form 8606 should be available as of 2/20/24 though. If you are using the desktop version of TurboTax you can try doing your updates (Online menu option and then Check for Updates). If you are using the online TurboTax, you can try opening the program in another browser or clearing your cache and cookies. Otherwise, you may need to just wait until the form is ready to be filed.
Is Form 8606 being worked on or revised in TurboTax, or is there an error with the “Do Not File” message in the Anacortes version of TurboTax Premier!
There should not be any problems with this form. Try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies if you are using TurboTax Online, and reopen TurboTax. You can also try a different browser.
Also, make sure you have ran all updates.
