To followup I have found that the problem is in the printing of the 1040-SR as the data is printed on line 12c when printing the 1040.
To get the 1040 vice the 1040SR go to Forms then choose the Info Wks form. Scroll down to Part II "Address and Filing Status" below where you choose which phone number to print the next line says "Print 1040-SR instead of 1040" uncheck the YES box and check the NO box.
Now when you print your return you will get the form 1040 and the data line 12c will print.
It is not a fix it is a suggested work around until the fix happens and it will happen but when. We do not have a date but if you continue to wait and check back often you will be able to e-file when that happens.
Since you are using the Online version the work around does not apply to you. Also, you can not switch on the online version. The fix is coming soon!!

I had the same question, same issue. It looks like this omission will result in an error, thus delaying a result from the IRS. Please advise. I'm NOT inclined to submit my Federal Tax Return with this error.
I am using TurboTax Deluxe PC (Windows)
Please try the steps in this article to help update your software.
How do I update my TurboTax CD/Download software program?
Here is an article that will show how to perform a manual update.
Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business)
If you find you are still having issues with it, please don't hesitate to contact support.
What is the TurboTax phone number? - Intuit
Thank you for your quick response.
My software is indeed up to date and the issue still remains. It seems to me, after looking at various articles including from LAST year, that this issue is pervasive and common across at least several years.
I have read that DELETING all CTs and then reentering them helps. I'd rather not have to do that but some of the suggesting just don't work.
Thank you for your help
Thanks for your reply.
I called the Help Line and talked to "Emily, Specialist" and shared my screen. However, my issue is with the printed (PDF) version which the Emily could not see.
After 45 minutes trying to explain the issue my phone line went dead.
Based on other replies to this thread it appears others are having the same issue.
Is it possible have "Emily, Specialist" or anyone really call me back to tell me why subtotals are not printing? Like others, we all depend on TurboTax to do the math correctly.
Thank you.
You are exactly right. Thank you for your efforts. Yes, it seems this exact issue is wide spread and not easy to solve on our own. Simple math issue, but holding up my return!
Same problem here, even after applying manual update. BUT I noticed that if I switch to forms, then open the 1040-SR and choose Print and preview PDF then the entry for line 12c is there. But when previewing for submission and previewing the PDF I find that line 12c is blank. So I assume that the electronic submission to IRS will also be blank. Work around is to print from forms and snail mail to IRS.

YEP! That worked! Thank you so much. No more 1040SR for ME!!!!
This does not actually fix the "bug" in the 1040-SR PDF file. At best it's a work-around by changing to the regular 1040 for those using CD/Download software.
I am using the "online" version and "Forms Mode" is exclusively available in the TurboTax CD/Download software. Thus, this option is apparently not available for me. 😟
This is not the "Best" answer for those of us using the "Online" version of TurboTax.
Can anyone HELP?
