The disaster 401k distribution form still isn't finalized. You took my money 3 weeks ago, and it's been saying waiting for its to finalize forms. IRS says you're lying

Why is turbo tax still saying waiting for one or more forms to be finalized, when the irs says they finalized that form already? 
You took my filing fee and I still cannot file. 
Going to tax slayer and I will get a refund.

Form 8915-F does show as being available on the Form Availability List.  However there are some software updates being implement that have resulted in a delay.  Please check back after 3/15/2024, update your software if you are in the desktop version of the software, and try to proceed with your return.

Once a form is finalized by the IRS, it has to be coded into the special language the software uses and has to be thoroughly tested for calculations and e-filing acceptability.  The IRS then has to approve it for e-file.  It always takes a little longer for a form to become available for e-file in a software program.  The dates are subject to change due to all that needs to be done.
