How do I correct an error in reporting net social security benefits paid (Box 5)? I reported benefits paid (Box 3) which did not account for a repayment made in Box 4.

You are amending your 2023 Federal income tax return.

If you used TurboTax Online, log in to your account and select Amend a return that was filed and accepted.

If you used the CD/download product, sign back into your return and select Amend a filed return. 

Report the correct Social Security under Wages & Income and Social Security (SSA-1099).
