Yes.  Ask TurboTax to do this by clicking the Maximize box for a SEP contribution.

Yes. When you get to the SEP IRA screen you will have the option of having the program maximize your contribution.

It seems likely that something calculates.  If "nothing calculates" means "calculates a $0 contribution," it seems that you do not have net profit to be able to make a self-employed retirement contribution.  If "nothing calculates" means that you see not change in refund or balance due, it could mean that your taxable income is already zero without the deduction for the self-employed retirement contribution.  Examine your Keogh, SEP and SIMPLE Contribution Worksheet and Form 1040.
