If "nothing calculates" means "calculates a $0 contribution," it seems that you do not have net profit to be able to make a self-employed retirement contribution. If "nothing calculates" means that you see not change in refund or balance due, it could mean that your taxable income is already zero without the deduction for the self-employed retirement contribution.
