I bought up 5 additional years of pension with my after-tax money. Can't find anywhere to deduct that.

You can't deduct that. The pension will keep track of it and when you start taking the pension part of it will be tax free. My husband did that with his state of california pension.

I am filing a non-resident state because I own rental property there. Should I have to pay tax on my pension in a non-resident state?
