See this TurboTax support FAQ for creating W-2's and Form 1099's using the TurboTax Home & Business or the TurboTax Business desktop editions - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-forms/create-w-2-1099-forms-employee...

Are you preparing a 1099 to give to someone or entering one you received?  Are you on Windows or Mac.  It's probably too early to file them.

In the Mac Home & Business Desktop version you use the Quick Employer Forms.  The forms are efiled to the IRS and you print and mail them to your contractors and employees.  At the bottom of the Welcome to Turbo Tax screen it should say Create 1099s for Contractors and W2s for Employees.

In the Windows Home & Business Desktop program or the separate Business program you can prepare W2 & 1099 2 ways, on your computer using the built in W2/1099 Reporter or online using the Quick Employer Forms. If you do them on your computer you have to mail the forms to the IRS yourself.
