Elective deferrals and Roth contributions to a 403(b) are shown with codes E and BB, respectively, in box 12 of your W-2.
would this apply if i payed after the fact? like i got my full pay check and each month put a certain amount in
@chy3 What plan did you contribute to? Employer plans like 401K need to come out of your pay and be on your W2.
it not an employer plan, its a personal ira account that i put my after tax money into
Oh IRA is different. This thread was about employer plans. You can get a deduction for a Traditional IRA contribution (not a ROTH IRA). You have to enter all IRA contributions.
Enter IRA contributions under
Federal On left
Deductions and Credits
Then scroll down to Retirement and Investments
Traditional and ROTH IRA Contributions - Click the Start or Update button
