My wife received her RMD for 2018, but does 8606 Nondeductable IRA form reduce her RMD?

Line 4b of the 1040 from was reduced by using form 8606. Does this effect our RMD for the IRS in 2018?

No it does not ... she was required to take out $X from the IRA and she did take out $X but on the tax return she is not taxed on the entire distribution due to the basis on form 8606.
