My social security withholding last year was inaccurate. Where can I see the amount I entered?

I had two W2's. The total was inaccurate, I want to see if I made an error entering the numbers or if TT made an accounting arror.

TurboTax does not have a copy of the W-2 or Form 1099.
It would have a Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement that included the tax data from the forms that were entered by you.
The forms would be included in the PDF of the tax return in the tax year the return was completed.

Copies of a Form 1099 would have to obtained from the issuer of the form.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Did you get an IRS letter about excess SS credit being disallowed?   And did you file a joint return where each of you had a W-2 form ?     If so then it sounds like you entered both W-2 forms under the same person.  Review the PDF of the return ... were both W-2 forms attributed to the same person?

This may be what you're seeing: For 2020, you were allowed to defer payment of SS tax, because of Covid.  Some employers did this automatically without your requesting it.   The employer will automatically increase your 2021 SS withholding to pay back the deferral.

The total social security withholdings from two W2s was incorrect. I don't know if i entered them wrong or if it was calculated wrong. So I am looking for the amounts that "I" entered. I want to track down how the error occured.

TurboTax (TT) does not have your W-2 (in either the on-line or desk top versions). However, it does have a "facsimile", if you typed in (or imported) your W-2 when you prepared your return. If all you need is the information from your W-2, you can get that from the facsimile (W-2 worksheet), found in the list of forms. Every bit of information, including SS withholding, on your actual W-2 will be on the TT worksheet.
