The entry line is not operational in TT Deluxe 2023

Are you using the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions for tax year 2023?

If so, and you have Windows 10 or 11 installed as your operating system, try this procedure -

Save your tax return and then close TurboTax

Right click on the TurboTax icon on your screen

Click on Properties

Click on the Compatibility tab

Check the box Run this program as an Administrator

Click on Apply and then on OK

Start the TurboTax program and see if the problem persists.

Another possibility if that doesn't work...

IF you are using the Desktop software (not the Online Browser-based stuff)

If you can get to the proper SSA-1099 entry page...

...and IF there is a $0 on an entry line that doesn't allow you to change it.

....,,,,then double-click on the $0.

,,,,,,,....a $0 indicates that there is apparently a "Supporting Details" sheet attached to that entry line (one you put on that line in some prior year)
